Chanel Mimosa

I saw Blue Lagoon at my Walgreens and went, “Ohh…I can do a comparison to Riva!” and they have some shocking similarities. They’re both shockingly shitty with application. There I said it. I blasphemed the La Maison de Chanel. Revlon – eh. Like they care.
Despite the craptastic application, they’re both pretty colors.

Goddess on the mountain top
Burning like a silver flame
The summit of beauty and love
And Venus was her name
Burning like a silver flame
The summit of beauty and love
And Venus was her name
She’s got it
Yeah, baby, she’s got it…
Ok, enough of the Bananarama Venus lyrics, but really the name of this color from Jessica Nail Polish is called Venus Was Her Name. How could I NOT throw in lyrics for good measure?!

I love the negative names Illamasqua’s given for this collection, which happens to be for their Spring/Summer 2011 offering that is called Toxic Nature. The polish names are in sharp contrast to the beauty that these colors are!
I liked the BURN YOUR EYES orange of Gamma that I showed yesterday, but what I like most about this collection is that the other colors are actually understated. However, they are still a very pretty sight to behold. Wouldn’t you agree?

Illamasqua – Radium
Tuesday, 3 May, 2011
I am a serious Illamasqua fan girl. Like I love the nail polish and the make-up. When I saw some of the colors from their Toxic Nature Spring/Summer 2011 collection, I had vague doubts. But I love that Illamasqua appeals to the drama girl in me, right down to the packaging. If this color doesn’t entice you to try Illamasqua, I don’t know what will.
