I am featuring Revlon’s Sunshine Sparkle in this post because I’ve already written about Chanel’s Mimosa.
I got a call from a BFF going, “What is that color you were looking for from Revlon? Is it called Perplex?”
Me: “OMG…YES! WHERE ARE YOU?”
BFF: “I’m at Big Lots. They have three left and…”
Me: “GET THEM ALL. DO YOU HEAR ME? GET THEM ALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! ALL OF THEM! I LOVE THAT COLOR. WELL, I DON’T KNOW IF I WILL LOVE THAT COLOR, BUT I WANT THEM ALL ANYWAY!”
BFF: “Ok. Stop yelling in my ear. They’re a dollar each.”
Me: *faints*
I got the package 2 days later. Yay for NAIL MAIL!! Thank you, Karen! Thank you, thank you!!!
Me: (holding my fingertips under his nose) SMELL MY FINGERS!
Him: (shaking his head and holding his breath)
Me: Seriously, smell my fingers!
Him: (sniffs cautiously) Oh…that smells quite nice! It smells like blueberries!
OPI, Ginger & Liz and Revlon – Damone Roberts 1968, Ivy League and Minted
Thursday, 2 September, 2010I had finally scored Revlon’s Minted. I got a cute sample size of Ginger & Liz’s Ivy League. I have OPI’s Damone Roberts 1968. I wanted to wear them all, but knew I really couldn’t. I decided to put them all together for a comparison because those 3 were my newest mint greens. I wasn’t thinking…and realized it was night time, but eh. Sometimes the flash really does make the color stand out as well as flatter it, but it also has a tendency to drown the color/make it prettier than what it is.
Not in this case of the Mints! It showcased everything accurately.
OPI’s Damone Roberts was a bit thick, but it dried quickly.
Ginger & Liz looks bad because I wasn’t wearing my glasses on those 2 fingers. OOPS. The formula dried quick as well.
Revlon’s color had some serious cuticle pull. I was annoyed. Formula was runny and took a while to dry.
