Illamasqua Facet ah…how I love you so. Seriously. LOVE. YOU. SO. Honestly. love.
Illamasqua – Stagnate and Bacterium
Wednesday, 4 May, 2011I love the negative names Illamasqua’s given for this collection, which happens to be for their Spring/Summer 2011 offering that is called Toxic Nature. The polish names are in sharp contrast to the beauty that these colors are!
I liked the BURN YOUR EYES orange of Gamma that I showed yesterday, but what I like most about this collection is that the other colors are actually understated. However, they are still a very pretty sight to behold. Wouldn’t you agree?
I now present
Illamasqua – Radium
Tuesday, 3 May, 2011I am a serious Illamasqua fan girl. Like I love the nail polish and the make-up. When I saw some of the colors from their Toxic Nature Spring/Summer 2011 collection, I had vague doubts. But I love that Illamasqua appeals to the drama girl in me, right down to the packaging. If this color doesn’t entice you to try Illamasqua, I don’t know what will.
Illamasqua – Gamma
Monday, 2 May, 2011Happy Monday! I know I didn’t post anything on Friday, but it was my BFF’s birthday. There was also a royal wedding that I didn’t watch. Seriously, I didn’t watch it. I kind of just tuned out because I knew the world was in wedding frenzy and I wanted no part of it. So I focused on real life – buying the cake for my friend’s birthday and other things that needed my attention.
I wasn’t quite sure if I wanted to show you a mellow color or a stinging, burn your eyes, omg it’s bright color.
I present Gamma from Illamasqua’s Toxic Nature Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
Illamasqua – Phallic
Wednesday, 12 January, 2011This is such a beautiful color. I love how it looks on Playing With Polish. It practically glows on her!
However, on me it’s a whole other story…
Illamasqua – Jo’mina
Monday, 27 December, 2010Tagged by Illamasqua itself as an electric lilac, I was a bit skeptical. What does that mean, I wondered.
Then I put it on my nails…and wore it for a few days. I did the swatching on an overcast day and the colors confused me. They were somewhat different in shade and the overcast shots. Then the sun peeked through a few days later when I happened to still be wearing Jo’mina. It was honestly so different in different lighting that I felt I never captured the true beauty of this color.
It would have to rank as one my top 10 favorite colors because it’s so unique. I don’t have many lavender colors because they are such an odd color on me. Jo’mina, however, looks wonderful on me and I love it.
Illamasqua – Muse
Thursday, 17 June, 2010Illamasqua – Fern
Tuesday, 15 June, 2010When I think of the word fern, I think green…and this is not green. It’s blue. A gorgeous, deep cerulean blue. With glitter.
Definitely a summer color…or a winter color to chase away the blahs.
Illamasqua has great application, it’s smooth and lump free. Nice and quick drying, too!
Check it out.
It’s even more stunning in person, too! I definitely can’t wait to wear it again.
