The colors in the box were awesome and I will be trying Glisten & Glow’s Shea Butter scrub and review it in a separate post.
If you are not familiar with Llarowe A Box Indied, it has limited edition colors. If you are a total polish hoarder like me, you will buy the box and not share any of the pretties. If you are like some of my fellow polish girls, you will split the cost of the box with someone and keep the colors you like while the other person gets the colors they like. I love that idea, but I view nail polish the way I view food: I DO NOT SHARE! So sad, but true. I’ve almost stabbed my friends (and husband!) with my fork for putting their hands near my plate.
I’m having fun with the colors and I really think you’ll enjoy them.
Different Dimension – Pelican Village
A neon pink with a subtle shimmer. It keeps the polish from being a plain neon (are neons ever plain?!) and makes this pop. This formula was fast drying. It was also surprisingly opaque in two very thin coats.
Girly Bits – Love Ya Beach!
This is a clear base with gold glitter and smatterings of silver and aqua glitter. I love that this reminds me of a beach and the sea glass you can find while walking on it. I used two coats and they dried quickly. I tried nail art. *sigh* Such a fail.
Hare Polish – Escape to Palm Springs
From the Hare Polish site “…is a bright periwinkle/cornflower blue crelly, with neon pink glitters in hexes and squares, plus orange dots, and finally gold glitter/flakies/shimmer!” The polish is a tad bit lumpy because of the glitter, but I’m ok with it. I love the base and the glitters so much. This dried quickly, which was very surprising. I used two coats.
Jindie Nails – Kangaroo, Take Me Away
This was a bit thick and gloopy, but once I put a top coat on it, it glossed over and smoothed out. The base is a white crelly which is surprisingly glossy and shiny. It’s a bit of a slow dryer, but I’ve encountered much, much worse.
Last, but not least…here is a picture of my pretty boy Rex. He posed so perfectly for this shot. It’s not the greatest shot because the camera was in macro mode, but it’s not bad.
Llarowe A Box Indied for June 2014 is pretty, but the true stand out color is Hare Polish’s Escape to Palm Springs. What do you think?
Thanks for making it this far. If you’ve liked what you’ve read, please share.
À bientôt!
