KB Shimmer You Drive Me Katie is described as a bubblegum pink crelly with white, teal and purple glitters of all sizes. In my pictures below the shot looks almost neon, almost a bright, if you will. It definitely is bubblegum pink, that’s for sure.
Below is three coats to get it to be this opaque. It was opaque at two coats, but again, the imp in me wanted to see what KB Shimmer You Drive Me Katie would like like with three. It definitely made it thicker, that’s for sure. However, the formula on this is superb. It was quick drying and didn’t bubble. If you happen to see bubbles, it’s the coats of Gelous I did to try and smooth out the glitter.
As I said earlier, KB Shimmer You Drive Me Katie is a Harlow & Co exclusive. Bummer it isn’t available here in the US, but feel free to order it from the site!
Quick note, I’m trying out the Large size thumbnail in this post. It’s really…large. However, as always, please click on the image which will double in size…then click on the image again (it will triple in size!) to view the photo in its original size.
.
In this shot, it looks almost salmon-y pink. Well, slightly.
The flash shot makes it look very…I’m a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world…
Sunlight nearly drowns out the color making it seem like a slightly bright pastel.
Someone asked me why I don’t use a light box – I’ll be honest: I don’t think light boxes truly reflect what a color is like in real life. While I think a light box can get you prettier, edgier shots of a polish, I don’t think it’s very realistic. So while my images may not be as richly saturated with jewel tones or deep hues, you are getting a real-life look at the polish in action.
Thank you for making it this far. If you liked what you read, please share this – sharing is caring!
À bientôt!
