Literary Lacquers Green Gables Collection is a collection of colors inspired by the series of books by Lucy Maude Montgomery. I had previously reviewed Carrots, Carrots and Raspberry Cordial?, but now it’s time for all the colors.
Brief recap of the colors from my prior post:
- Green Gables – mid-toned grass green linear holo
- Lake of Shining Waters – murky teal linear holo
- Raspberry Cordial? – raspberry pink linear holo with added holo glitter
- Anne With an EÂ – Opalescent glitter topcoat
- Carrots Carrots – Peachy-orange crelly with tons of orange glitter
- Marilla’s Amethyst Brooch – Amethyst shimmer with a pink to orange color shifting flash
I will be show you the colors in the order listed above.

Green Gables, where do I even begin?! I love greens of this shade and hue. It’s beautiful and was opaque in two coats. This may be the color I’ll be wearing for the rest of the week! I’d say it was a good choice.
 Lake of Shining Waters Macro
Lake of Shining Waters is this crazy holo that you have to own. I couldn’t even capture a fraction of the prettiness. Two coats is all you need. If you want to be all fancy, sure, put on a third coat. This dried fairly quickly, which is typical of a holo.
Raspberry Cordial? is a two coater and gorgeous. What do you think?
Anne With an E macro
Anne With an E is a bit of a milky base and is a fun glitter to own. My only complaint is that I wish I had been able to capture the opalescence of this color! This was 2 coats.
Carrots Carrots Macro
As stated in my previous review of Carrots Carrots, I used three coats to achieve this opacity. I still like this orange.
Marilla’s Amethyst Brooch Macro
Marilla’s Amethyst Brooch was a two-coater for me. Definitely my favorite of the collection. I’m a sucker for purples and lavenders.
Shade shot. It’s not that fabulous when compared to the one below.
Just playing around with Anne With an E layered over Green Gables. It looks fabulous, doesn’t it? The holo under the glitter…just absolutely luscious and luxe.
Thank you for making it this far. If you liked what you read, please share this – sharing is caring!
À bientôt!
