This is China Glaze It’s Alive. Now this little glitter baby is pretty awesome. I had no problems with clumping or lumpiness that some have had. It was incredibly easy to manage and dried so fast I couldn’t believe it. This particular shade only needed 2 coats. I liked that the glitter wasn’t difficult and didn’t have danglies…You know what I mean – some of the glitter kind of hangs off the edge of your nail and no matter what you do, it’s still clinging until the bitter end? Right through your final top coat application? No? Ok, it’s probably me and my really bad application.
China Glaze It’s Alive is part of their Halloween 2011 collection, I felt this one was the one I wanted to feature for Halloween. I was incredibly ambitious and wanted to do a mani for it, but life kind of got in the way. Instead, you get a pretty little glitter thing. This is a stronger glitter than the offering from China Glaze’s 2010 collection. Last year was Zombie Zest…not sure if you remember it, but it will be shown at the end of the post.
This actually is incredibly sparkly polish, but it was an overcast day. I thought the sunlight hit it well, but it clearly it didn’t. It was sparkling, but clearly my camera could not capture the overall shiny glitter. However, if you do decide to get this color, you will not be disappointed. I’m hoping to get swatching done tomorrow so I can put this back on my nails!
Below, you will find last year’s China Glaze’s Zombie Zest.
