What did I do? I turned to *gulps* stuff you would buy in a drugstore – you know, Oil of Olay and Pond’s kind of crap.
I figured, "Why not?" because I’m leaving in a couple of weeks and when I get home, I can get the good stuffs.
I purchased (almost all of) the entire skin care line for the Pond’s Age Miracle Range (except for the tinted moisturizer as I still have enough Bare Minerals for that) — http://www.ponds.co.in/agemiracle/miracle_range.asp
I’m on day 4 and HOLY HELL I CAN SEE A DIFFERENCE. I’ve been tossing away hundreds of dollars on Eminence Organics and Clarins. All this time, this cheap ass stuff works. I mean really works. Ironically, it’s not sold in America. Probably stuff the FDA doesn’t approve of but all they have to do is throw enough $$$ at them and it will get approved.
On the 2nd day of using this, my mother even commented in Skype how lovely my skin was looking. Today, Colin even said, "well, I can really see a difference…your skin wasn’t looking as leathery as it used to." I know what he meant because frankly, I was scared about my skin. I know it sounds silly, but I haven’t had a good facial (stop giggling you dirty pervs out there – you know who you are) in over 4 years since we’ve left Chicago. Frankly, I don’t trust anyone with my skin. It’s also part of the reason why I never use the ‘cheapie stuff’ as I called it.
The serum and day cream tend to be a bit thick when put on, but it soaks into the skin beautifully, leaving a gorgeous, velvety matte-like finish. The night time cream is pretty industrial and goes on thick, but I don’t mind. The daily foaming scrub has extremely mild abrasives in it so it really is gentle enough to use everyday.
Color me freaking impressed over cheap stuff. I have to get a supply before I leave to go back to the US – I don’t know how I’m going to survive without it!
