This pretty shade of blue glitter is yet another Lynnderella I was fortunate enough to procure last year. Lynnderella Thank Blue! is a gorgeous teal, yet reminds me of the ocean!
I keep forgetting to swatch the Halloween 2012 collection from China Glaze. You can see it almost everywhere and I thought I’d do a bit of a twist on it…I thought I’d compare China Glaze Cast a Spell and China Glaze Wagon Trail. I read in one of my nail polish groups on Facebook that China Glaze Cast a Spell and China Glaze Wagon Trail are similar/dupes.
China Glaze New Bohemian swatches and GIVEAWAY
Wednesday, 25 July, 2012This swatch is for a reader who wanted me to do more sheers…so I’m starting now.
I’ve had this color for ages and was never really motivated to try it. I thought it looked beautiful in the bottle but was worried it wouldn’t translate well into real life. I hate it when a polish does that and it so often happens with shades like these once on me.
This wasn’t a huge disappointment, but it did transfer almost perfectly – it’s a peach shimmer with a lovely gold undertone. Unfortunately, the shade is a bit too warm for me.
It’s a gorgeous color nonetheless – see below.
It looks so ho-hum boring in the shade, doesn’t it?
Sunlight brought this baby to life, showing flashes of peach, pink and gold shimmer. It’s very pretty, n’est-ce pas? I know I don’t have a color similar or even remotely close to this, so even though it’s a bit on the warm side for my skin I’m going to keep this!
This is a lovely green shimmer and it went on completely opaque for me – two thin coats were needed and the drying time was a breeeeze! To me, this is almost a kelly green, don’t you think?
Part of the 2009 summer collection called Kicks (I have Custom Kicks somewhere here…either in CA or AZ), I only purchased 2 colors because I’m not a neon fan and I felt this wasn’t worth the effort for me to swatch…sorry for the neon lovers out there.
It’s a fun summer color, that’s for sure. Unfortunately, it’s not a color for me.
China Glaze – DV8 and GR8
Monday, 12 July, 2010I swear I had posted my swatch of DV8, but I was wrong! I had even put it in my Uploaded pics folder. Very odd. I finally found GR8 and was able to swatch it.
I love the China Glaze Holographics. How can anyone not like them?
See below!
Even without the flash, this color was throwing holographics everywhere. I didn’t know what to do. I finally decided to tame the beast with a single flash setting. It’s a gorgeous teal, isn’t it? It was a nice cool color against my skin tone.
Love how the sun really brought this into play. In the shade it was this deceptive little color was pretending to be a tame gold nail polish. Out in the sun, I swear it was one of my favorite gemstones (lemon quartz) gone wild! It’s a bit warmer in the undertones than I expected and it clashed terribly with my skin, but … how can you deny how gorgeous it looks?!
