This is such a beautiful color. I love how it looks on Playing With Polish. It practically glows on her!
However, on me it’s a whole other story…

I love Ginger & Liz Whos The Boss. Ginger and Liz have been cracking me up with the 80s names of polishes. Goin’ Back to Cali and now Who’s The Boss? I’m having flashbacks of my youth! Did I just reveal how old I am to you whippersnappers?!
Yet another gorgeous purple that Ginger & Liz have knocked out of the ballpark! I’m so bad at application, but I love how even with my worst applications, Ginger & Liz still look halfway decent on me. This was an awesome plum shade that delivered.
I don’t know what’s happened in the past year and a half, but I’ve picked up some serious love for purple polishes. When they keep looking this good and with this kind of application, I’ll keep falling for them and buying them!
Formula for Ginger & Liz Whos The Boss was great – high gloss on the first and second coats that dried quickly in between. Opaque in two coats. Woo hoo!
Ginger & Liz Whos The Boss – Sunlight. I swear, I ruined the photos because of the cuticle oil. You can’t see the super high glossy shine of this color.
I always lament that there are no Inglot stores close to me…the closest are in Vegas and New York. I think that is a good thing…especially for my wallet. Quite possibly good for hubby’s sanity as well.
This is another bottle that I had purchased for my friend Kelly while I was living in India. I keep telling myself I have to send it back to her. I will, I promise, K!
The formula was good and dried quickly. This was opaque in 2 coats.
Is it Friday? Really? Where did this past week go?
I know this is a Christmas color – the name gives it away, but it doubles pretty darn good as a Valentine’s Day red, too.
I thought it was very pretty, despite the fact it is a glitter. I hated the removal. It took me a while…for some reason, this formula and the glitter were particularly stubborn. It took a while to dry in between coats – about 15 minutes. I did two coats because I was feeling particularly impatient. I even did two coats of a high gloss topcoat (Posche). The glitter beneath was still grainy and came through.
It’s a gorgeous red glitter.
Is a polish from 1994-1995 considered old school? In my head it is, but it may not be so for others. Anyway, enough with the debate over semantics. Let’s look at my treasure.
I know I’ve gone on and on about Chanel’s Brown Sugar. I did a search for Brown Sugar in my blog and I found three instances of where it’s mentioned. I know I’d have mentioned it a lot more but editing saved you from having to read about it everyday. Now friends of mine, on the other hand. I’ve more than bent their ears on it. Frankly, I think I think I abused them. LOL.
I’ll dig up Violette and let you look at them to see. I will eventually do a side by side comparison, but for now here is my one true nail polish love.
I think I’ve been bombarding the blog lately with animal posts in addition to nail polish, but I can’t help it.
Today I gave Rex a bath. I try to give him a bath and clean his ears out once a week because he’s a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. As with most spaniels and dogs of his ilk, they have tendencies to have things go wrong in their ears if you don’t take care of them. Rex is no exception. So I like to nip it in the bud.
Rex always needs a bath once a week because if he doesn’t he’s no longer adorable ruff ruff Rex. He’s Stinkasaurus Rex. He brings the funk and not in a good way.
Rex says, “Your depraved indifference to my suffering shows. You take photos of me when I am cold, wet and hungry.”
Once again, Ginger & Liz totally make me have much love for them. Somehow, somewhere along the way the nail polish gods heard my pleas for colors that would look good on a brown girl like me…nearly all of the colors I have from G&L (save for one that was ok, but it wasn’t a disaster) have looked good enough when worn and have garnered some wonderful compliments.
The formula for Ginger & Liz Hold The Drama was a dream and the gloss was incredibly high and gorgeous…which I ruined the moment I did the cuticle oil.
Ginger & Liz Hold The Drama is truly the perfect purple I looked for in a creme that was close to eggplant but didn’t turn to a near black when dry. If you’re into purple polishes, this is one you shouldn’t pass up.
I decided to have a little bread and cheese for a snack…and the moment I sat down, stalker kitty sat close to me. Really close because he wanted to have some cheese. I refused.
This is his pretty begging kitty face. He’s saying, “Please, ma’am…just a little piece of cheese will do me until dinner.” (Overlook the fact that he always has a full bowl of food.)
